Today I had the good fortune of meeting Tim Senkowski. I had read about his story and I was looking forward to meeting him in person. He is very intelligent and optimistic. He tells his story with honesty and straight forward facts. Despite all that he has been through, he moves forward and looks towards the future. We had a great conversation with several highlights. One of the major highlights was his instruction on the challenge coins. I had learned about them, but he helped clarify it for me by explaining that it involved buying drinks. Another highlight was when he showed me his prosthetic limbs and how they work. I really respect and admire Tim for all of his hard work and dedication to our country. Because of him, I have the freedom to live in America and stand on free soil. I hope to honor Tim and his sacrifice by helping raise awareness and funds for The Path Home and Homes for Hoosier Heroes. I want to see Tim in a house that is fully accessible to his needs. I hope to work as hard for Tim as he has for our great nation.
